Time, Energy and Focus: Strategies To Improve Concentration and Mindfulness for Healthcare Leaders
Rising levels of stress and burnout continue to challenge healthcare leaders, diminish well-being, cloud decision-making and strain the resilience needed to guide teams through demanding conditions. This session explores how leaders can strengthen their capacity for sustained attention and purposeful action in environments defined by constant change and competing demands. Participants will examine the unique challenges that volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity place on time, energy and focus then identify how performance psychology insights can support sharper concentration and steadier productivity. With an emphasis on mindfulness practices and intentional energy management, leaders will hear strategies to re-center their attention, support their own well-being and cultivate healthier, more resilient teams.
Learning Objectives:
- Evaluate the challenges of managing time, energy and focus in a healthcare environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA).
- Describe the principles of performance psychology to optimize attention, performance and productivity in leadership.
