Biography
Dr. Laila Rashidi is a double board-certified colorectal surgeon and a nationally recognized leader in the surgical treatment of colon and rectal cancers. She specializes in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures, including single-port, multi-port and transanal techniques, with a focus on sphincter preservation and enhanced recovery.
Dr. Rashidi serves as director of Colorectal Surgery at MultiCare Health System and leads several key programs, including the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) and the Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery Fellowship. She has performed more than 1,500 robotic procedures and was among the first in the U.S. to adopt single-port robotic surgery following FDA approval.
Her contributions to surgical innovation and education have earned her numerous honors, including recognition by Castle Connolly Top Doctors and Seattle Magazine Top Doctors. She was named one of the Top 50 Women in Medicine by Preferred Health magazine and received the Health Care Heroes Award from the Puget Sound business journal.
Dr. Rashidi is an active contributor to national surgical societies, serves on multiple professional committees and is widely published in the field of minimally invasive colorectal surgery. She is also a passionate advocate for women in surgery and founded the Women in Northwest Surgery (WINS) group in Seattle.
