Over the past nearly 50 years, Genentech has embodied a pioneering spirit with a legacy of innovation across science and medicines. As founders of the biotechnology industry, we revolutionized treatment for some of the most complex health problems. Today, we continue to lead the industry—only our quest is bigger and bolder. As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to our rich history and spirit of scientific innovation and are evolving our quest to confront and overcome the most pressing health care challenges of our time.
But we know we cannot tackle these alone. By working together, we hope to solve some of the hardest biomedical challenges plaguing humankind.

A Bold Ambition
In our quest to confront and overcome some of the most pressing health care challenges, we anticipate an increasingly complex health care landscape. Over the near term, we envision a number of challenges, 6 of which we find most relevant to healthcare executives: increasing disease burden, health care system pressures, decentralized care delivery, early detection, monitoring and intervention, access to health care and transformative technologies.
Like you, these challenges have a significant impact on our decision making. They shape the choices that we make as we embark on our ambition to confront and overcome some of the most pressing health care challenges and deliver 20 transformative medicines addressing diseases with the highest societal burden by 2030.

Genentech Champions Health Screenings to Help Improve Patient Outcomes
A cancer screening awareness campaign focused on Black and Latina women, created “by the community, for the community.” We collaborated with local health systems and community organizations from across New York City to launch Love Letters for Cancer Screening, a multicultural initiative.
Its goal is to reduce inequities in care, using the power of love to spread messages about the importance of cancer screening for women. Love Letters for Cancer Screening was also launched in partnership with Cancer Screen Week partners, the American Cancer Society, Optum and StandUptoCancer.

We Focus on Access So You Can Focus on Health
Genentech shares your commitment to advancing patient care and reducing barriers to treatment. From product information and patient access to screening initiatives, Genentech provides resources to help you and your patients, whether your focus is getting one patient on a Genentech therapy or on improving the entire patient population.
Our resources may be able to help health care providers, administrators and/or practice staff assist patients after a Genentech medicine has been prescribed.
